A Weekend in Dubrovnik!
Hi guys!
Hope you all had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend. I was lucky enough to spend it in the beautiful Dubrovnik. We were attending our friends wedding and what a weekend it has been. We totally fell in love with Croatia and cant wait to visit again.
We only went for four days so it was short and sweet with just the perfect amount of sun, sea and drink along with fantastic company. I personally love weddings abroad, they seem more chilled out with guaranteed good weather and lovely to be away with a group of friends.
We flew from Dublin to Dubrovnik on an early flight friday morning. We stayed in the beautiful Hotel Croatia in Cavtat which is only 5 minutes away from the airport, about 20 minutes away from Dubrovnik Old Town or 40 minutes on a taxi boat. The hotel was beautifully located on a peninsula overlooking the Adriatic sea on one side and the picturesque Old Town of Cavtat on the other. The hotel has both an outdoor and indoor pool area, a private beach area, two restaurants, a snack bar and a spa and wellness centre. For the active person or family, it has a children's play area, table tennis, snorkelling, diving and hiking activities on site along with a kids club. The rooms come with free wi-fi and air conditioning along with free parking. A shuttle service to and fro Cavtat marina and plenty more which makes this hotel the perfect choice for a vacation of dreams.
As we were only away for 4 days, as soon as we arrived we went to visit the Old Town in Dubrovnik as it's known for its beautiful scenery and its historic architecture. For anyone that is hooked on Games of Thrones, this city is as beautiful as it is on tv if not more and I completely fell in love with it from the minute I arrived. There is so much to do over here, from climbing the walls of the old town to renting a boat to sail around all the little islands and much more. The city is rifling with history which goes back as far as the 7th Century and the breathtaking views will leave you in awe.

On the Saturday we attended our friends wedding which was the most beautiful day with amazing company in a breathtaking place. It was an overcast day which in a way was perfect as it was a little bit cooler than normal which got sunny in the evening and ended with a gorgeous sunset. The wedding reception was outside at a beach restaurant at the hotel we stayed at. I barely took any pictures on the day as we were having so much fun that my phone was the last thing on my mind and sometimes its the perfect way to spend the day enjoying yourself and switching off the social media buzz.
I went for a flowy summery dress by Ted Baker which was perfect for the sunny vibes.

Sunday was day two of the wedding party which was spent relaxing by the pool during the day and ended at a beach party at the Copacobana Beach Bar.
The weekend went super fast and it was so nice to get away and enjoy ourselves and a well needed adult only time. Now back to reality and rainy Ireland and the count down to our holidays is in full swing.
A huge thank you to the new Mr & Mrs for a weekend in paradise!
Hope you enjoyed my post.
Love E x
